A-Frame Skirt
A-FRAME is a pencil or a-line skirt inspired by the iconic A-Frame house. Popular in the 50's and 60's, the A-Frame embodies the DIY spirit, the love of the outdoors, and the modern aesthetic.
It features triangular seaming and pockets, in either a fitted pencil or swingy a-line style. It includes a centre back zipper and buttoned waistband. The skirt sits at the natural waist and ends just below the knee. The pencil skirt version features a kick pleat at the centre back seam.
The pattern features alterations instructions for proportion adjustment (different sizes at waist and hip) and shorten/lengthen adjustment. The waistband includes side seams for easy alteration after sewing.
