Cabin Top, Tunic & Dress
CABIN is an easy, comfortable, and flattering top, tunic or dress with french darts, dolman sleeves, and a back yoke. Either version can be finished with bias facing or binding around the neckline, sleeves, and hem.
Version 1 is a shirt that ends at mid hip with a centre back pleat for a swingy silhouette.
Version 2 is a tunic that hits at mid thigh and includes ‘weltless’ pockets, a design that creates the look of a single welt pocket with a fraction of the effort and only one pattern piece. It can also be made with darts instead of a back pleat.
Version 3 is a dress that hits right above the knee and swaps the back pleat for darts, but it can also be made with the back pleat.
The back pleat can be embroidered with a variety of cabin designs that you can download here, your own design, or left unadorned.
This pattern also includes instructions for making your own bias tape, as well as alteration instructions for a custom fit!
